I know I'm commenting about this way later than it's been posted, but just discovered your blog today :-)
This is an awesome drawing. Not because of its faithfulness, but rather the opposite: I like the bits that make it different from the original photo. Specially the rough straight edges that seem to line the face.
So, to make it short: great job!
