Beginning to think that instead of rushing a half-assed, 1-hour painting, maybe I really should try to do something cleaner and nicer in 2 hours. Hour 1 can be linework + flat colors, while hour 2 is painting. Much happier with this version, even though now I see that her left shoulderpad is problematic.

This is an interesting style for you. I've never seen this direction with your pieces. I think you should try to keep going with this style. It could be the start of something really interesting.
Thanks! It's actually a mutation of what I used to do when I drew anime. It's fun and I should do it more, for sure :)
